In Highlights of the News today, I wrote, "Dear American newspapers:
"Improve circulation by posting TRUMP WAS RIGHT stories. From Obama-spied-on-me to Wuhan flu-was-manmade, the supply is endless."
Allow me to take my own advice. What the media for 6 years has called lies turned out to be truths. Let us start from the beginning on June 16, 2015, when The Donald descended down the escalator at Trump Tower and entered the presidential race.
He said, "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
The media called his statement racist, horrible, and deplorable.
But it was true.
Fox reported this weekend, "Border agents arrest more MS-13 gang members, sex offenders trying to illegally enter US. MS-13 is known for its horrific and gruesome crimes."
Then there was Hillary's health. The BBC on August 19, 2016, called Trump a liar for questioning Hillary's health.
It said, "In less than a month, unsubstantiated claims about Hillary Clinton's health have gone from chatter on Twitter to an attack line by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
"Without offering any evidence, Mr Trump said in Ohio on Monday that she 'lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on Isis [Islamic State] and all of the many adversaries we face.' Mr. Trump, 70, is almost two years older than Mrs Clinton."
A month later, Hillary collapsed at a 9/11 event.
Healthy as a horse.
That horse, though, is Secretariat, who died on October 4, 1989.
On March 4, 2017, President Trump tweeted that his predecessor had wiretapped him. (This came two months after Chuck Schumer bragged that the intelligence community has six ways to Sunday to get you.)
The media immediately blasted him as saying he did so without evidence!
The very next day, James Clapper told NBC News, "There was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president, the president-elect at the time, or as a candidate, or against his campaign."
That was a lie. The FBI used secret FISA warrants to indeed spy on his campaign. And the FBI lied in its applications for those warrants.
President Trump told NBC on May 11, 2017, "You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won."
Nearly 2 years of investigation by 17 Democrat lawyers and Robert Mueller came up empty.
There was no collusion.
None.
Throughout his presidency, the media called him a liar. The media sees itself as the first draft of history, which means their lies become embedded in the public mind, making it nearly impossible for the truth to change anyone's mind.
A perfect example of this came in the DC riots last summer. Antifa terrorists tried to burn down a historic church that is on the other side of Lafayette Park, which is adjacent to the White House.
The media lied and said President Trump had the park cleared of protesters so he could walk to the partly burned church.
It took a full year for the truth to come out.
The Park Service's inspector general investigated and found not one iota of truth to the reports in the Washington Post and other outlets.
The IG said, "This report presents a thorough, independent examination of that evidence to assess the USPP’s decision making and operations, including a detailed timeline of relevant actions and an analysis of whether the USPP’s actions complied with governing policies. The evidence we reviewed showed that the USPP cleared the park to allow a contractor to safely install antiscale fencing in response to destruction of Federal property and injury to officers that occurred on May 30 and May 31. Moreover, the evidence established that relevant USPP officials had made those decisions and had begun implementing the operational plan several hours before they knew of a potential Presidential visit to the park, which occurred later that day. As such, we determined that the evidence did not support a finding that the USPP cleared the park on June 1, 2020, so that then President Trump could enter the park."
No evidence.
None.
The big lie by the media was that the Wuhan flu could not possibly have come from the Wuhan biological warfare lab in Red China.
On February 16, 2020 -- a full month before we shut down the nation -- the Washington Post sneered, "Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus conspiracy theory that was already debunked."
Already debunked?
By whom? Chairman Xi?
The story said, "Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) repeated a fringe theory suggesting that the ongoing spread of a coronavirus is connected to research in the disease-ravaged epicenter of Wuhan, China.
"Cotton referenced a laboratory in the city, the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory, in an interview on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures. He said the lab was near a market some scientists initially thought was a starting point for the virus’s spread.
"'We don’t know where it originated, and we have to get to the bottom of that,' Cotton said. 'We also know that just a few miles away from that food market is China’s only biosafety level 4 super laboratory that researches human infectious diseases.'
"Yet Cotton acknowledged there is no evidence that the disease originated at the lab. Instead, he suggested it’s necessary to ask Chinese authorities about the possibility, fanning the embers of a conspiracy theory that has been repeatedly debunked by experts."
But now that headline reads, "Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus fringe theory that scientists have disputed."
From debunked to disputed.
On May 1, 2020, BBC said, "U.S. President Donald Trump has appeared to undercut his own intelligence agencies by suggesting he has seen evidence coronavirus originated in a Chinese laboratory.
"Earlier the US national intelligence director's office said it was still investigating how the virus began.
"But the office said it had determined Covid-19 'was not manmade or genetically modified.'
"China has rejected the lab theory and criticized the US response to Covid-19."
A year later, BBC sang a different tune because Red China's cover-up is crumbling.
On May 27, BBC said, "Nearly a year and a half since Covid-19 was detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the question of how the virus first emerged remains a mystery.
"But in recent weeks the controversial claim that the pandemic might have leaked from a Chinese laboratory -- once dismissed by many as a fringe conspiracy theory -- has been gaining traction.
"Now, U.S. President Joe Biden has announced an urgent investigation that will look into the theory as a possible origin of the disease."
Trump was right.
Again.
How do you know when Donald Trump is telling the truth? The media calls it a lie.
That's the article: Trump was right!
