Highlights of the News

Hello friends wordentertainmen, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Highlights of the News, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about Highlights of the News, which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.

ITEM 1The Washington Examiner reported, "Top GOP pollster: To win, ‘we need Trump to go away.’"

The pollster is Ed Goeas. He has been saying this for more than 5 years now.

A month before the 2016 election, he wrote off Trump.

Goeas wrote, "For all the strained parallels that people have tried to draw between Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan, there is one that hopefully stands out as the dust settles after this election, and that is the comparison of them having the same campaign slogan – which they do not. Donald Trump’s is 'Make America Great Again' which is a very Trump, in your face demand of make America great again. Ronald Reagan’s was 'Let’s make America Great Again' – a much more inspirational, all-inclusive slogan that embodied the personality, and patriotism of Ronald Reagan and tied it to the Republican Party. Hopefully, we as Republicans, as Americans, can get back to that after this election."

You know who needs to go away?

Ed Goeas.

ITEM 2: CNBC reported, "The May core personal consumption expenditures price index, an important inflation gauge for policymakers, rose 3.4% from a year ago, in line with Wall Street estimates.

"That was the biggest increase since 1992 and reflective of ongoing price pressures.

"Consumer spending was flat for the month, missing expectations, while personal income declined 2%, less than the expected 2.7% drop."

Prices are rising, personal income is declining, and the Fed is fattening the stock market like hogs to be butchered.

You know how Kurt Schlichter keeps saying buy more guns and ammo? I think that's his investment strategy. You can get more bartering a rifle than you can a Hummel figurine.

ITEM 3: Just the News reported, "Minnesota Judge Peter Cahill on Friday sentenced former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin to 22-and-a-half years in prison for the May 2020 murder of George Floyd.

"A jury in April found Chauvin guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, at the conclusion of a three-week trial that gained national attention."

Mob justice.

ITEM 4: The New York Times said, "For weeks, Michael Fanone, a Washington police officer who was seriously injured during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, had asked to meet privately with Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, the top House Republican, to discuss the assault, to no avail.

"So on Friday, when Officer Fanone finally got his session with Mr. McCarthy at the Capitol, he had a clear request at the ready: for the minority leader to publicly denounce the lies Republican lawmakers have been telling about the deadly attack. He wanted Mr. McCarthy to push them to stop downplaying the storming of the building, blaming left-wing extremists for an assault carried out by former President Donald J. Trump’s right-wing supporters and spreading the baseless conspiracy theory that the F.B.I. secretly planned it."

Ashli Babbitt did not get a meeting with anyone.

A Capitol Police officer shot her dead.

She was unarmed.

Instead of 22 years in prison, the cop who killed her got a Congressional Gold Medal, as all the officers did.

ITEM 5The Daily Beast reported, "Kamala Harris Finally Visits the Border—800 Miles From Where the Action Is."

Yes, even the lefty news sites mock her now.

Biden should have picked Stacey Abrams. With her, he might have carried Georgia without having to Xerox boxes of ballots.

ITEM 6: United Press International reported, "NASA to send mannequins to moon to prepare for crewed missions."

The story said, "NASA's upcoming Artemis I mission to the moon, planned for later this year, won't have a human crew, but the space agency is preparing three inanimate occupants of the Orion capsule to measure radiation and vibrations.

"The Artemis I crew members, mannequins, will help NASA test radiation, vibration and impacts from landing before the space agency plans to send astronauts in an Orion capsule by 2023."

UPI has it backward.

We sent Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the moon in 1969 to prepare for mannequin landings in 2023.

ITEM 7: The New York Post reported, "Salma Hayek has gone on the record to say that yes, her breasts are real — but she can understand why fans might think otherwise.

"'A lot of people said that I had breast augmentation. I don’t blame them! My boobs were smaller! So was the rest of my body,' the 54-year-old actress said Wednesday on Red Table Talk, the Facebook Watch series Jada Pinkett Smith co-hosts with her daughter, Willow Smith, and mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris.

"Her growth, however, is all natural. Hayek explained that it happened significantly during life changes like pregnancy, menopause and periods of weight gain."

The newspaper offered photographic proof of her increasing bra sizes. That makes the Post a shoo-in for next year's Pulitzer for public service.

ITEM 8: The New York Times said, "President Biden said Friday that the future of Afghanistan was in its own hands, but he promised its president, Ashraf Ghani, that the United States would support the country even after American forces withdraw following nearly 20 years of war.

"During a visit to Washington by Mr. Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah, Afghanistan’s chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Mr. Biden said the United States would continue to offer security assistance, as well as diplomatic and humanitarian aid.

"But his message was clear: The U.S. military is leaving."

We went in to get Osama bin Laden. It took 10 years, but we got him -- in Pakistan.

The mission crept to keeping the Taliban out, whom we had overthrown.

This is nuts.

Next time, just pay the Taliban whatever they want for Osama bin Laden and stay the hell out of their business.

ITEM 9: Retired General Barry R. McCaffrey tweeted, "Let this sink in. Tucker Carlson on live Fox TV called Gen Mark Milley the Chairman of the JCS Stupid and a Pig. Why hasn’t he been terminated?  Who talks like this about a public official? Mark Milley …Princeton and Colombia. Years in combat."

Let this sink in. A retired general who had sworn to defend the Constitution wants people fired for criticizing the military.

ITEM 10: Sky News reported, "A woman who lost her job after expressing views that sex cannot be changed and transgender women are not women has won an appeal against an employment tribunal.

"In 2018, Maya Forstater posted a number of tweets expressing her beliefs about sex and gender, including her opposition to proposed reform of the Gender Recognition Act, which would allow trans people to self-identify and legally transition from the gender assigned to them at birth without a medical diagnosis.

"Her contract with her employer, the think tank Centre for Global Development, was not renewed in 2019 after a number of her colleagues complained, prompting an employment tribunal where she argued her beliefs should be legally protected -- which she lost."

Thank goodness this TG stuff is starting to ebb. For a moment, I thought they were going to ban Carole King's song "Natural Woman."

ITEM 11: WHEC reported, "In New York City, a recently installed sculpture of George Floyd was vandalized overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Detectives are looking for video from the area but at this point no arrests."

Tut-tut.

Let's not destroy the statues of the saints of other religions.

ITEM 12: The Daily Caller reported, "The Department of Justice announced a suit against the state of Georgia Friday alleging that the state’s recently-signed election law is racially discriminatory.

"Georgia’s Election Integrity Act was signed in March by Republican Gov. Brian Kemp. The law imposes a voter ID requirement, expands early voting in most Georgia counties, requires that counties have at least one absentee voting drop box and shifts more control over election administration to the state legislature."

The game is to stop the law from going into effect for the 2022 election so that Democrats can cheat and keep the Senate seat they stole in January.

ITEM 13: Poynter reported, "US ranks last among 46 countries in trust in media, Reuters Institute report finds.

"Just 29% of people surveyed in the U.S. said they trust the news, compared to 45% in Canada and 54% in Brazil."

Alternative headline: 29% of Americans are so gullible, you could sell them the Brooklyn Bridge.

ITEM 14: Breitbart reported, "Only hours after President Joe Biden announced his plan to address crime, the city of Chicago suffered two mass shootings nearly simultaneously.

"According to Chicago’s CBS affiliate, eight people were shot, four each in shootings in two of Chicago’s neighborhoods.

"One incident claiming four victims occurred in the Austin neighborhood at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

"The second incident occurred in Englewood, where four people who belonged to a motorcycle club were shot around the same time of the evening. The Chicago Police Department (CPD) said the shots were fired from a passing vehicle.

"The CPD currently has no one in custody and no suspects in either case."

5 in 6 homicides in Chicago go unsolved.

ITEM 15: CNS News reported, "After President Biden in a statement Thursday decried the closure of a Hong Kong newspaper targeted for its criticism of Beijing, the editor of a Chinese state media outlet posted jeering tweets referring to President Trump’s ejection from Twitter.

"Global Times editor-in-chief Hu Xijian suggested that Twitter’s decision to permanently suspend Trump’s account following the January 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol was a case of official government censorship rather than the highly-contentious decision of a private company.

"Responding to Biden’s criticism of China over the closure of Hong Kong’s Apple Daily tabloid, Hu tweeted, 'What about Trump’s Twitter account? What about Parler? Trump and his supporters have the right to freedom of expression. Instead, Washington is denying basic liberties and assaulting democratic institutions and processes, inconsistent with its international obligations.'"

Democrats do not have double standards.

They have no standards at all.

ITEM 16: Biden's mangled Tree of Liberty quote the other day caused me to re-read Jefferson's 1787 letter to John Adams's son-in-law from Paris.

The pertinent and unedited portion from Jefferson reads, "& what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms. the remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. what signify a few lives lost in a century or two? the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. it is it's natural manure."

He wrote this because he was displeased with the direction he thought the constitutional convention was going in.

Many patriots including Patrick Henry and Elbridge Gerry opposed it because of the central government the convention created. The Bill of Rights was meant to appease them by restraining that government, which under Josef Biden now threatens to nuke patriots.

ITEM 17: The Daily Caller reported. "Portland Police Reassure Concerned Public That Man They Shot Was White."

You know who benefits from this new systemic racism?

Black criminals.

You know whom it harms the most?

Black crime victims.

FINALLY, today marks the 145th anniversary of the Battle of Little Big Horn.

That famous day in history the men of the 7th Cavalry went riding on

And from the rear a voice was heard

A brave young man with a trembling word rang loud and clear

What am I doin' here?
