Highlights of the News

Hello friends wordentertainmen, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Highlights of the News, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about Highlights of the News, which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.
ITEM 1: The Asbury Park Press reported, "Large crowds celebrating Juneteenth near Pier Village are being dispersed.

"According to Domigos Saldidas, public safety director of Long Branch, multiple officers from neighboring towns and State Police responded to help disperse the crowds."

The newspaper quoted Chavonne Berry, who said, "There was no violence there was nothing going on, just dancing and enjoying ourselves. Y’all couldn’t give us this moment."

Meanwhile, WIBC reported, "Long Branch, NJ police in full riot gear were dispatched to the vicinity of Pier Village Saturday night after a Juneteenth celebration turned violent. Officers locked down the area, according to a report, as hundreds of people took to the streets to riot."

Must have been two entirely different events. Right?

ITEM 2: MLive reported, "A Flint police officer working at a Juneteenth day parade shot a resident Saturday after the resident drove up to the officer and shot at him, Michigan State Police said.

"Neither the police officer nor any bystanders were injured in the shooting, which happened about 2:14 p.m. June 19 on Saginaw Street near Leith Street.

"MSP is investigating the incident at the request of the Flint Police Department."

The woman died. She was 19.

ITEM 3: The Associated Press reported, "Police say a triple shooting killed two men and wounded a 3-year-old boy in west Philadelphia over the weekend.

"Police said the gunfire shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday hit two 23-year-old men multiple times. Both were taken to Presbyterian Hospital by private vehicle and pronounced dead minutes later. The child was shot three times in the leg and was listed in stable condition at the hospital.

"The city’s police commissioner, Danielle Outlaw, noted that many began the day celebrating the designation of Juneteenth as a new federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery but 'we again found ourselves lamenting as an otherwise beautiful afternoon had been sullied with gun violence.'"

Making Juneteenth a federal holiday worked out well. It is a Mostly Peaceful Holiday.

ITEM 4: The San Francisco Chronicle reported, "One person died and five others were wounded in a shooting on Lakeshore Avenue alongside Lake Merritt in Oakland on Saturday evening, police said.

"Oakland police received reports of shots fired in the 2200 block of Lakeshore Avenue at 6:22 p.m. Saturday, police said, just as roughly 1,000 people were celebrating around the lake."

Paragraph 8 said, "Large crowds had spent the day in the area celebrating the first federally designated Juneteenth holiday."

Paragraph 9 said, "For Nancy Douyon, 35 — who had been celebrating Juneteenth around Lake Merritt since 8 a.m. Saturday — the shooting is 'not an example of what this community is,' referring to Oakland."

Sure it isn't.

Flashback to April, when Fox reported, "Oakland City Council restores $10 million in funds to police, fire departments amid spike in violence."

Oakland is a Mostly Peaceful Community. Maybe they can put up signs that say that.

ITEM 5Red State reported, "On Saturday, a pick-up truck driver plowed into the sidewalk during a gay pride event in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The driver of the truck wound up killing a bystander, as well as injuring another who is currently in the hospital. Without evidence, the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale told the media that this was an act of terror.

"However, it looks like he was completely wrong. It’s now being reported that the driver of the vehicle was allegedly a member of the gay chorus group singing at the event on Saturday. Still, leftists on Twitter couldn’t wait to blast the instance as an act of egregious homophobia."

Mayor Dean Trantalis told Local 10 News, "This is a terrorist attack against the LGBT community. This is exactly what it is. Hardly an accident. It was deliberate, it was premeditated, and it was targeted against a specific person. Luckily they missed that person, but unfortunately, they hit two other people."

This is a tragedy.

Instead of waiting for the facts, Mayor Trantalis tried to exploit it. City residents should run him out of town on a rail.

ITEM 6: The New York Post reported, "A Georgia police officer and a motorist he pulled over for speeding late Wednesday died after the driver dragged the officer while attempting to escape — and was then shot by the officer.

"The exact sequence of events that took the lives of 25-year-old Holly Springs Police Officer Joe Burson and 29-year-old Ansy Dolce remains under investigation. However, Holly Springs Police Chief Tommy Keheley told reporters Thursday that investigators believe Burson shot Dolce while being dragged by the vehicle."

Dragged.

Policemen put their lives on the line every time they pull someone over.

Honor that bravery. We need a Juneteenth for cops.

ITEM 7: NBC reported, "In late May and early June 2020, looters smashed storefronts in the Bronx and Manhattan boroughs of New York City.

"Many were caught on tape, some with their faces visible. Others even posted their own videos of their actions those nights on social media. Hundreds were arrested.

"But a review of NYPD data by the investigative team at WNBC, the NBC owned station in New York, shows that a large percentage of the cases — particularly in the Bronx — were dismissed, and that many convictions were for counts like trespassing that carry no jail time."

The story also said, "According to the data, 118 arrests were made in the Bronx during the worst of the looting in early June.

"Since then, the NYPD says the Bronx district attorney and the courts have dismissed most of those cases — 73 in all. Eighteen cases remain open and there have been 19 convictions for mostly lesser counts like trespassing, counts which carry no jail time."

The message from City Hall is clear: loot.

Oh and you don't have to pay rent because of covid.

If you own anything in New York City, sell it because the politicians side with the criminals.

ITEM 8: The Daily Wire reported, "A Chicago city official heavily criticized Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s claim that racism was to blame for the challenges facing the city, declaring it a public health crisis.

"Lightfoot on Thursday blamed systemic racism for the hardships minority residents face in the city, pledging to use millions of dollars in grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for combatting alleged systemic racism, which she called a public health crisis."

But Democrat Alderman Raymond Lopez told the Washington Examiner, "Generational gang life isn’t just something that’s encouraged. It’s almost revered in some neighborhoods.

"If you really want to get to what is at the heart of a lot of this, it is gangs, and it is the borderline collapse of the family unit in many of our neighborhoods ... [Lightfoot] has avoided calling out gangs in our community as a source of violence in our city."

The thug life is very lucrative to a few. And some of that money makes its way to Democrat politicians. as is the way in Chicago.

Pol Pot stacked the skulls of his victims.

Lightfoot and her crew just bury them, and then they file for a CDC grant.

ITEM 9: The Chicago Sun Times reported, as of Sunday morning, "At least five people have been killed and 40 others wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday evening.

"In the most recent fatal attack, a man was shot dead while driving in Humboldt Park early Sunday.

"The 21-year-old was driving a Jeep about 1:40 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Augusta Boulevard when a car pulled up next to him and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police said.

"The man was shot in the head, police said. A passenger in the Jeep drove him to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Less than an hour earlier, a woman was fatally shot in Bucktown on the Northwest Side."

5 dead.

40 wounded.

In other words, a relatively quiet weekend in Chicago.

ITEM 10: The Post Millennial reported, "The town of Evanston, Illinois, is holding Pride and Juneteenth parades during the month of June, but canceling July 4 fireworks and Independence Day festivities."

What a time to be RuPaul.

ITEM 11Hot Air reported, "Governor Abbott threatened to defund the Texas Legislature after Texas Democrats walked out of the legislative session rather than take a vote on election reform laws. When they broke quorum and shut down the session, Abbott said that if legislators weren’t going to do their jobs, they shouldn’t be paid.

"Friday, Abbott made good on that threat. The elections bill was a top priority for the governor during this year’s session. Texas Democrats decided to cut and run, breaking quorum, instead of voting on Senate Bill 7. They knew that the Republicans had the votes to pass the legislation – both the Texas House and the Texas Senate hold Republican majorities."

Good.

Don't show up for work, don't get paid.

ITEM 12The Daily Mail reported, "Prince Charles is to ensure that his two-year-old grandson Archie will never be a Prince, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

"The heir to the throne has made it clear that Harry and Meghan's son will have no place among frontline Royals as he plans a slimmed-down Monarchy after he becomes King.

"The move has incensed the Sussexes and is thought to have prompted the series of bitter accusations the couple have levelled at Charles and the Royal Family from across the Atlantic.

"A grandchild of the sovereign has long had the right to be a Prince, but Charles is determined to limit the number of key Royals, believing the public does not wish to pay for an ever-expanding Monarchy."

Besides, Harry isn't his.

That is what is behind all this drama. Chuck cheated with Camilla, and Di returned the favor. Meghan is just the straw that stirs the drink.

James Hewitt denies paternity. Who are you going to believe, him or your own lying eyes?

ITEM 13Breitbart reported, "A Christian non-profit is challenging the Internal Revenue Service after the agency denied them tax-exempt status saying 'the Bible’s teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates.'"

The decision came from the IRS's Exempt Organizations Director Stephen A. Martin. Expect a court fight. The story said, "The First Liberty Institute, which is representing Christians Engaged, sent an appeal letter to the IRS on June 16, saying Martin’s decision mischaracterizes the nature of the non-profit and infringes on first amendment liberties."

So be it.

The Supreme Court must make it clear that the government does not dictate church policy.

ITEM 14: Newsmax reported, "Rumors that China's top spy catcher has defected to the United States and is giving the Biden administration information about the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the leak of the coronavirus, if proven true, could 'even lead to the fall of the Communist Party,' China expert Gordon Chang told Newsmax on Saturday.

"'This is so explosive it could lead to a chain of events, which would sever relations between China and the United States,' Chang, the author of The Coming Collapse of China, told Newsmax, adding Beijing appears to be in a panic over the reports.

"The reports claim Chinese official Dong Jingwei, a vice-minister who took over responsibility for the country's counter-intelligence three years ago, reportedly flew from Hong Kong to the United States in February with his daughter, reports South Asia news service ANI quoting SpyTalk, a newsletter covering U.S. intelligence, defense, and foreign affairs policy."

The CCP won't collapse. The CIA won't let it.

ITEM 15: The Daily Mail reported, "Trump was RIGHT! California will spend $500 MILLION this year to thin its 33 million acres of forests to lessen the chance of wildfires - after former president was laughed at in 2018 for suggesting raking the woodland floor."

Dear American newspapers:

Improve circulation by posting TRUMP WAS RIGHT stories. From Obama-spied-on-me to Wuhan flu-was-manmade, the supply is endless.

ITEM 16At National Review, Dan McLaughlin wrote, "The Shakespearean Father-Son Tragedy of the Biden Family."

I thought at first that it was a parody, but it was not.

He wrote, "It was announced Saturday that Joe Biden’s dog Champ has died at age 13. By all accounts, the family German Shepherd was – as we would say – a good boy. Dogs are with us too briefly, and saying goodbye to them is inevitable but never easy. That leaves the family with another German Shepherd: Major, who was kicked out of the White House for a month after reportedly biting a Secret Service agent and a National Park Service employee.

"On the eve of Father’s Day, the contrast between the two dogs – one uncomplicatedly beloved, the other a constant source of trouble – put me in mind of the Shakespearean tragedy at the heart of the Biden family: Joe’s sons Beau and Hunter. We’ve seen many sides of Joe Biden over the past half a century, and there is no more sympathetic side than that of a wounded, grieving father. In 1972, Biden lost his wife and daughter in an auto accident just after he had been elected to the Senate. He was left to raise two sons alone. Beau was 3, Hunter was 2. Biden would remarry and have another daughter a few years later, but Beau and Hunter were the survivors of his original family of five, with an irreplaceable place in Joe’s heart."

McLaughlin's gone from Trump Derangement Syndrome to full-blown liberal.

The Biden Family is a crime syndicate selling access to the White House for millions of dollars.

ITEM 17Just the News reported, "House Republican Whip Steve Scalise is slamming the hypocrisy of President Joe Biden's plans to spend billions on green energy programs as part of his $4 trillion infrastructure proposal.

"Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said this week that a budget reconciliation bill will incorporate elements of Biden's $2.25 trillion American Jobs Plan and $1.8 trillion American Families Plan that are not ultimately included in any bipartisan infrastructure legislation.

"According to a White House fact sheet on Biden's jobs plan, a substantial portion of the $600 billion in modernizing U.S. transportation infrastructure includes renewable energy investments and $200 billion in electric vehicle-related spending.

"Scalise said that phasing out fossil fuels domestically will only lead to heavy industry moving to countries that emit more carbon emissions than the U.S."

If they ever take back the House, I hope Republicans skip over Kevin McCarthy and make Scalise speaker. He fights.

ITEM 18: The Lid reported, "One of the issues where Joe Biden and Binyamin Netanyahu disagreed about the most was Biden’s intent to get back into the Iranian Nuclear deal. But if Biden thought that Israel would drop the topic after they dropped Netanyahu he was wrong. At Sunday’s cabinet meeting in Israel, new PM Naftali Bennett trashed Biden’s intention of getting back into the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] as fervently as Bibi ever did. He warned the US and other nations trying to regenerate the JCPOA with Iran to wake up following the election of a hardline murderer as Iran’s new president."

When Israel's parliament replaced Bibi (barely) with Bennett, I said he was 71 and it was time for a new generation to take over because if Israel is to continue to exist, it will have to regenerate itself.

Bennett seems up to the task.

ITEM 19The New York Post reported, "Zack Weiner, 26, a City Council candidate running in Manhattan, has found his campaign tied up after video of him enjoying a sadomasochism session found its way onto Twitter."

Another New York politician named Weiner turns out to be a perv.

ITEM 20: Via Fox, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley said he won't get vaccinated.

He tweeted, "I don't play for the money anymore. My family has been taken care of. Fine me if you want. My way of living and my values are more important to me than a dollar. I will be outside doing what I do. I’ll be out in public. If you're scared of me then steer clear, or get vaccinated ... I may die of covid, but I’d rather die actually living"

If cut, that's $12 million he would lose in pay this year and next.

I totally disagree with him, but I am in awe. That is a true American stance.

ITEM 21: The Washington Examiner reported, "Despite campaign promises, 60% could see tax increase under Biden proposals."

I say, eliminate all taxes and just have the government print up the money it wants to spend.

That is pretty much what they do anyway.

ITEM 22: The Post Millennial reported, "On June 11, the American Civil Rights Project sent a warning letter to the Coca-Cola company, alleging that the beverage corporation's new diversity policy would require contracted law firms to violate anti-discrimination law.

"The letter asks the recently-beleaguered company to either 'publicly retract the discriminatory outside-counsel policies it announced in January' or, otherwise, 'provide access to the corporate records related to the decision of Coca-Cola’s officers and directors to adopt and retain those illegal policies.'

"Further down in the letter, the memo talks about the mega soft drink company's new policy 'of contracting, refusing to contract, and altering the terms of signed contracts on the basis of the race of Coke’s counterparties, the [directors] have exposed Coke and its shareholders to material risk of liability.'"

Try to be less woke, Coke.

ITEM 23: Western Journal reported, "Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia outlined a list of policy demands on election legislation, adding to a compromise several provisions that have historically been opposed by Democrats.

"The three-page memo circulated by Manchin’s office suggests that the Democrat is willing to support key provisions of the For the People Act, House Resolution 1, that passed the House in March, The Washington Post reported."

So what shade of lipstick is Joe putting on this pig?

ITEM 24: 100% Fed Up reported, "Carmela Garcea found out the painful way, that activities as mundane as grocery shopping are no longer safe in her neighborhood. According to witnesses and responding police officers, 87-year old Garcea was sucker-punched in the back of the head as she left Morton Williams grocery store in Gramercy, NY, Saturday morning around 8:50 am."

The suspect is black.

Another Mostly Peaceful Event to celebrate Juneteenth.

ITEM 25: Mediaite reported, "At the Western Conservative Summit this weekend, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis beat former president Donald Trump in a presidential preference straw poll.

"DeSantis just edged out Trump in the poll, conducted by the Centennial Institute at their event. The approval poll asks participants to select each potential candidate they would approve of for president in 2024.

"Because each participant can choose multiple answers, the end result shows who was popular among the most people and so on.

"The other candidates in the top five were Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, at #3, former secretary of state Mike Pompeo at #4, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott at #5."

No Jeb!

No Nikki.

No Mitt, Murkowski, or Collins.

That's the real story. RINOs shut out.

ITEM 26: Go Local Providence reported,  Democrat "U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse continues to defend his family's membership in the all-white private Bailey's Beach Club in Newport."

Just a reminder, Donald John Trump was the first to open a Palm Beach resort -- Mar-a-Lago -- to black people and Jews.

And Whitehouse dared call The Donald a racist!

I want that klansman Whitehouse expelled from the Senate.

FINALLY, National File reported, "Ammon Bundy, the son of Cliven Bundy of the Bundy Ranch that resisted the Obama administration’s Bureau of Land Management’s 2014 attempt to confiscate the senior Cliven’s cattle due to years of alleged grazing on public lands without a permit, officially announced his run to become the Republican nominee for Governor of the State of Idaho at a campaign-style event that attracted hundreds of supporters on Sunday."

He said, "May we keep Idaho a bastion of freedom and prosperity for years to come, may we be an example to the world of how to be free, of how to act, how to treat each other, and how to leave each other alone. And together, all of us together, may we Keep Idaho, Idaho."

Many liberals are moving there.

This is why I do not want to invite everyone to West Virginia. I must admit, conservatives fleeing Maryland have helped flip the state red in the past decade.
