Highlights of the News

Hello friends wordentertainmen, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Highlights of the News, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about Highlights of the News, which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.

ITEM 1: Citizen Free Press posted the video of Putin asking an NBC interviewer, "Did you order the assassination of the woman who walked into the Congress and who was shot and killed by a policeman?"

No Republican has raised this question of whether the Capitol Police targeted Ashli Babbitt.

Indeed, the media rarely mentions her name because the Capitol Police shooting and killing her ruins the unfounded narrative of an insurrection by white supremacists terrorists.

Putin laughs at our hypocrisy. We are so smug. This happens in lesser countries, we tell ourselves.

But Putin casually pointed out that Josef Biden is punishing dissidents.

Republicans in DC should realize that what happened to Ashli Babbitt will happen to them. No one is safe.

Bob Dylan has the song, sadly, of America in 2021:

Once upon a time you dressed so fine

Threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?

People call say 'beware doll, you're bound to fall'

You thought they were all kidding you

You used to laugh about

Everybody that was hanging out

Now you don't talk so loud

Now you don't seem so proud

About having to be scrounging your next meal

Yes, how does it feel to be a complete unknown in your own home?

ITEM 2: Breitbart reported, "President Joe Biden’s administration announced their plans to create ways for Americans to report radicalized friends and family to the government, in an effort to fight domestic terrorism."

By domestic terrorism, they mean voting for Trump.

ITEM 3: CNBC reported, "Inflation is likely temporary, and trades built around it being longer term are now the most overdone in the market, according to Bank of America’s June Global Fund Manager Survey.

"The closely watched gauge of professional investors indicates that Wall Street is in line with the Federal Reserve’s view that recent price pressures will lighten up as the year goes on and eventually recede to normal levels.

"Some 73% of respondents said they see inflation as transitory, while just 23% say it is permanent."

Forget what they say. Watch what they do.

ITEM 4: The New York Post reported, "The controversial directive for New York nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients increased the death toll among residents — and Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s claims otherwise have been disproven, according to a New York State Bar Association report exclusively obtained by The Post.

"The 242-page report by the NYSBA’s Task Force on Nursing Homes and Long-Term Care also blasts Cuomo for not reversing the Department of Health’s unreasonable mandate sooner than he did, saying it remained in effect weeks longer than necessary."

Wow.

That means the State Bar believes Cuomo is responsible for thousands of covid 19 deaths.

Attorney General Letitia James should drop her witch hunt on Trump's taxes and start a criminal investigation of Cuomo turning nursing homes into death camps.

ITEM 5: Business Insider reported, "Steve Bannon racked up more than $1 million in legal fees during the Russia investigation — then asked Trump's DOJ to reimburse him."

Of course.

The politicization of DOJ by Democrats is aimed at bankrupting the opposition.

Let us review. Obama spied on Trump, trumped up charges, got a witch hunt, and cost Bannon $1 million.

The government should reimburse Bannon -- and garnishee Obama's presidential pension checks to pay for it.

ITEM 6: The New York Post reported, "Public school students in Florida will now have a minute of silence to pray, meditate or daydream under a bill signed into law Monday by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

"The measure requires 'principals to require teachers to set aside time for a moment of silence' at the start of every day.

"Under the law, teachers are prohibited 'from making suggestions to the nature of any reflection during the moment of silence,” but the Republican leader had prayer on his mind when he signed the bill, according to News 4 Jax."

DeSantis said, "The idea that you can just push God out of every institution and be successful, I’m sorry, our Founding Fathers did not believe that."

The story said, "A Democratic leader said the law blurs the lines between separation of church and state."

Democrats believe atheism is the state religion. Just as it is in Red China.

ITEM 7: The Telegraph reported, "Viktor Orbán stepped up his war on LGBT rights on Tuesday as Hungary’s parliament passed legislation banning the promotion of homosexuality in schools.

"Mr Orbán’s government claimed that the latest in a string of anti-gay measures was aimed at protecting children and fighting pedophilia.

"The bill outlaws LGBT people from featuring in educational material or TV shows for the under-18s. It means that films featuring gay character or seen as promoting homosexuality could only be shown at night with an 18-plus certificate.

"Movies that could be affected include Bridget Jones’s Diary, the Harry Potter films and Billy Elliot, broadcaster RTL Klub Hungary said."

Good for Hungary for protecting children.

ITEM 8: Deadline reported, "Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) is calling for NBCUniversal to urge the International Olympic Committee relocate the 2022 Winter Olympics from Beijing, citing the Chinese government’s human rights abuses.

"Scott said in a statement that NBC News own reporting 'has detailed the horrors faced by Uyghurs in Xinjiang and the genocide being committed against them by the government of Communist China. Yet this American network continues to turn a blind eye to Communist China’s atrocities when it comes to allowing Beijing to host the 2022 Olympic Games, apparently preferring instead to give General Secretary Xi a platform to whitewash his horrific crimes with the grand spectacle of the 2022 Olympic Games.'

"Scott had fired off several letters to the network several times, most recently calling on the network to not just call for moving the Games but to threaten to not air it."

What good is a cancel culture if we cannot cancel a slave country?

ITEM 9: Hamas-Shielding AP reported, " The Biden administration's suspension of new oil and gas leases on federal land and water was blocked Tuesday by a federal judge in Louisiana, who ordered that plans be resumed for lease sales that were delayed for the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska.

"U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty's ruling came in a lawsuit filed in March by Louisiana's Republican attorney general, Jeff Landry and officials in 12 other states. Doughty's ruling granting a preliminary injunction to those states said his order applies nationwide.

"The 13 states said the administration bypassed comment periods and other bureaucratic steps required before such delays can be undertaken. Doughty heard arguments in the case last week in Lafayette."

Trump judge.

ITEM 10:  The Hill reported, "The Associated Press said Tuesday that it will no longer name suspects in minor crime stories that only cover an arrest with no follow-up.

"John Daniszewski, AP’s vice president for standards, said in a statement that in such stories, the news outlet will likely not report on whether charges were later dropped or if the suspect was acquitted.

"He said that these stories have 'long lives on the internet,' adding that the news outlet’s distribution network can make it difficult for suspects in these cases to later gain employment or 'just move on in their lives.'"

More Black Lives Matter garbage.

Good reporters don't make news, they report it.

Once again, Hamas-Shielding AP has made the news.

ITEM 11: The New York Post reported, "Former President Donald Trump announced Tuesday he will visit the US-Mexico border region with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott at the end of this month to draw attention to what he called 'grave and willful dereliction of duty' by his successor."

Trump has been to Europe, too.

ITEM 12: The Foundation for Economic Education reported, "Curb Public Health Agency Powers Following Lockdown Carnage

"More than a dozen states have passed or advanced legislation to place new checks on the powers of public health agencies in the wake of the pandemic."

The 15 states include West Virginia.

The horse may have fled the barn, but the door still needs closing.

ITEM 13: The Chicago Tribune reported, "Mayor Lori Lightfoot says email ripping aide over lack of ‘office time’ that drew comparisons to a scene in ‘The Shining’ was ‘born out of frustration.’"

The Shining? I thought her movie was Beetlejuice!

Meanwhile the death toll from homicide hit 308 so far this year.

ITEM 14: The Senate voted unanimously to make Juneteenth a national holiday.

Why not D-Day?

Why not Lincoln's birthday?

Why not December 6, the anniversary of the ratification of the 13th Amendment?

Memorial Day already commemorates the sacrifices young American men made from 1861 to 1865 to abolish slavery in the United States.

Making Juneteenth a national holiday promotes the notion that somehow slaves liberated themselves. That is the narrative. It is an alternative to reality.

That Republicans went along with this shows once again how easily they get played. No one dares stand up for the truth for fear of being labeled racist.

ITEM 15: The Washingtonian reported, "As you undoubtedly now know, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden has a new career as an artist. And it may be on the verge of becoming a very lucrative one.

"Artnet reports today that the George Bergès Gallery in Soho will mount a solo exhibition of Biden’s art in the fall. According to George Bergès, Biden’s art dealer, prices for a Biden original will start at $75,000 and go up to $500,000 for larger paintings.

"Although he’s been making art since he was a child, Biden has not had any formal training. He told Artnet his new studio is in a three-story garage on his property."

Buy his paintings, get access to the White House. This is even more sleazy than his million-dollars-a-year no-show job in Ukraine.

ITEM 16: CBS News reported, "The Biden administration on Tuesday made tens of thousands of Central American immigrants in the U.S. eligible to petition for their children to come to the country legally as part of an effort to discourage youths from journeying to the southern border. Shortly after taking office, President Biden ordered officials to revive the Obama-era Central American Minors program, which originally allowed certain at-risk children in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to come to the U.S. as long as their parents had secured legal status in the country."

The erasure of our border continues apace as the enemy from within controls the Oval Office.

ITEM 17: The Union Leader reported, "A school board meeting turned into an anti-administration rally Monday night, with calls for the superintendent to resign over the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the controversial decision to write numbers on the hands of unvaccinated students to track them at Exeter High School’s prom.

"More than 150 people filled the high school’s cafeteria for what was supposed to be a routine meeting of School Administrative Unit 16's joint board, which has members from the six towns in the SAU."

They gave Superintendent David Ryan 3 hours of hell.

He gets $168,136 a year to make bone-headed decisions like this. He just finished the first year of a three-year contract.

ITEM 18: Roll Call reported, "The U.S. Capitol Police had potentially deadly training deficiencies on one of the force’s most lethal weapons, yet another issue that has come to light since the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

"The Containment Emergency Response Team (CERT) failed to comply with weapons certifications."

It will be interesting to see if the Capitol Police Barney who shot and killed an unarmed Ashli Babbitt was among those who failed to comply with weapons certifications.

In fact, it will be interesting to learn his name.

FINALLY, Politico reported, "Senate Republicans are mulling support for a massive amount of new spending on infrastructure — in part because they think it’ll help kill President Joe Biden’s liberal agenda.

"Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has yet to tip his hand on whether he supports the bipartisan negotiations on Biden's plan for roads and bridges that are being led by Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio). But a growing number of Senate Republicans are betting that if a deal is reached on that sort of physical infrastructure, Democrats won’t have the votes needed to pass the rest of Biden’s soft infrastructure priorities, such as child care and clean energy.

"Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.) surmised Monday that if a bipartisan package comes to fruition, the only remaining ways for Democrats to pay for a second bill on social spending programs are tax increases — too toxic to pursue. Democrats can pass a spending bill with only Democratic votes, but they need all 50 of their members to be on board."

The thing about a 50-50 Senate is it serves more as a hobble on the party technically in the majority than on the party in the minority.

Republicans do not have to deliver squat.

Democrats do.
