Highlights of the News

Hello friends wordentertainmen, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Highlights of the News, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about Highlights of the News, which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.

Via Grouchy Old Cripple.

ITEM 1: WSB reported, "A federal judge has denied a motion by a voting rights group to invalidate parts of Georgia’s new election law.

"In May, the Coalition for Good Governance filed the lawsuit against Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and the State Election Board to stop enforcement of parts of the newly passed voting law including: The Observation Rule, the Communication Rule, the Tally Rule, the Ballot Application Rule."

Judge J.P. Boulee, a Trump appointee, is not changing the rules when a special election is underway.

He wrote, "Plaintiffs’ response that State Defendants are ill-prepared to administer the new rules does not change the fact that election administrators have prepared to implement the challenged rules, have implemented them at least to some extent and now would have to grapple with a different set of rules in the middle of the election."

ITEM 2: Kane at Citizen Free Press reported, "Kmart and Sears remove Ashli Babbitt t-shirt from website."

Wait. They are still in business?

Who knew?

ITEM 3: Just the News reported, "Facebook is warning users against sharing a study that found dangerously high carbon-dioxide intake in masked schoolchildren, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Pediatrics."

Mark Zuckerberg knows more about children's health than any daggum pediatrician does, right?

Once again, these creepy leftists are so sure they are right that they never consider the possibility that there may be more to the situation than they know.

ITEM 4Scott Rasmussen announced, "47% of voters believe Big Tech companies actively supported Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that just 10% think they actively supported Donald Trump.

"20% believe that the companies remained neutral and 23% are not sure.

"In every measured demographic group, more voters believed that the companies supported Biden rather than Trump. Even Democrats, by a 3-to-1 margin, held that view."

This is fascism, the melding of industry and an authoritarian government to oppress the people.

ITEM 5: Cosmos reported, "A Chinese research team has surpassed Google, building a quantum computer that completed a calculation in just over an hour that would take classical computers more than eight years to perform.

"It’s the latest milestone in a line of exciting quantum computing developments across the last two years. In that time, researchers across the world have finally reached the long-sought-after ‘quantum advantage’ – the point at which quantum computing can solve a problem that would take an impractical amount of time for classical computing.

"A team from Google first achieved the milestone in 2019 using superconducting qubits (which rely on the flow of current to perform computation), followed by a team from China in 2020 that upped the ante by using photonic qubits (which are based on light and have the potential for faster operation).

"Now, another Chinese team (but led by the same researcher – Jian-Wei Pan at the University of Science and Technology of China in Shanghai) has outperformed Google again."

Google, Red China.

What's the difference?

Both are evil.

ITEM 6: Hamas-Shielding AP (you thought I would forget?) reported, "A New Zealand academic says Twitter temporarily restricted her account after she mocked Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"University of Canterbury Professor Anne-Marie Brady is an expert on China’s attempts to exert political influence around the world and has been an outspoken critic of its ruling Communist Party. Last week, she sent tweets poking fun at the party’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

"She said two of those tweets were temporarily marked “unavailable” by Twitter and her account was temporarily restricted over the weekend, before it was restored on Monday.

"Twitter did not say what prompted its actions."

When you defend Twitter, you defend tyranny because Twitter serves whatever government serves it best. Here it sides with Red China over New Zealand because it wants access to Red China's market.

ITEM 7: Zero Hedge reported, "The first Tucker Carlson leak, ostensibly from the NSA, has gone to none other than Axios, which reports that the Fox News host was simply surveilled because he was trying to arrange for an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin through an intermediary."

The story also said, "And of course this is the first leak - which 'justifies' surveilling a member of the American press. What's more, we're guessing that Fox lawyers have already pored over all of Carlson's emails and text messages, and concluded that there's no 'there' there, or they wouldn't have allowed him at 15-minute segment on Fox Business this morning to upstage the leak."

Obama used the FBI to spy on Donald Trump. The media cheered.

Biden uses the NSA to spy on Carlson. The media cheers.

The media ought to read Martin Niemöller post-war poem explaining the Nazis.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

We are all Tucker Carlson, whether we want to be or not.

ITEM 8: Mediaite reported, "Fox News’ Tucker Carlson suggested on Tuesday night that cameras be put in classrooms to 'oversee the people teaching your children.'

"Carlson talked about critical race theory and parents who have been publicly vocal saying they don’t want it being taught to their kids.

"'The overwhelming majority of Americans — and pollsters have found this pretty clearly — think this is insane,' Carlson said. 'They think you should judge people by what they do, not on the basis of their skin color.'

"He called it civilization-ending poison and suggested monitoring teachers with cameras to see if they are teaching critical race theory."

This is an idea whose time is coming.

ITEM 9: Christopher F. Rufo reported, "Raytheon Technologies Corporation, the nation’s second-largest defense contractor, has launched an anti-racism program that promotes critical race theory, rejects the principle of equality, and instructs employees to 'identify [their] privilege'—or else.

"Beginning last summer, the program, called Stronger Together, encourages employees to 'becom[e] an anti-racist today.' Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes supported the campaign by signing an Action for Diversity & Inclusion statement, promising to 'promote diversity' and 'cultivate meaningful change for our society,' then asking all Raytheon employees to sign the pledge and 'check [their] own biases.'"

Sign the pledge?

How is that legal in a land where schoolchildren cannot be forced to recite the Pledge of Allegiance?

ITEM 10: Fox reported, "An Associated Press reporter challenged the State Department spokesperson over statements that the Biden administration has honored international agreements that were negotiated under the previous administration.

"During Tuesday's State Department press briefing, spokesperson Ned Price highlighted President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan and the possibility of continuing negotiations with the Taliban despite their military offensive in taking back control in parts of the country.

"Associated Press reporter Matt Lee pressed Price about the administration's excuse that they were beholden to the Trump administration's agreement with the Taliban as a possible reason for U.S. troop withdrawal.

"'This administration inherited plenty from the previous administration that it absolutely reversed. Are you saying that you’re not confident in your negotiating skills that you could have renegotiated with—that you couldn’t have renegotiated a deal with the Taliban and that the—and are you saying that the president, in fact, didn’t want to take troops out, didn’t want to withdraw?' Lee asked."

"Yes, we changed quite a few U.S. policies across a number of fronts, but I think you would be hard-pressed to find an international agreement that the United States signed on to during the last administration that this administration has jettisoned, done away with," Price responded.

"Lee then mentioned several international agreements that the Trump administration joined that the Biden administration has terminated.

"'How about the Geneva protocol on the anti-abortion stuff?' Lee pressed. 'How about the agreements with the Northern Triangle, with Mexico and the Northern Triangle? Those are international agreements that you guys jettisoned.'"

Someone whizzed in AP's petunias, and Lee took off the gloves.

My guess is Hamas-Shielding AP is ticked that Josef Biden did not retaliate for Israel blowing up the building that shielded Hamas beneath AP's offices. Unlike Hamas, Israel gave occupants tome to leave before demolishing it.

I also like how Mister Objectivity Lee dismissed a pro-life agreement as "anti-abortion stuff."

Lee did his job on Wednesday.

As did 150 million-plus other Americans.

ITEM 11: The New York Post reported, "The $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill could come to the Senate floor as soon as July 19, sources confirmed to The Post on Wednesday.

"The potential vote comes as Democrats look to pass a second sweeping infrastructure bill progressives have advocated for despite Republican pushback.

"Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has indicated the House would not take up the bipartisan deal without the Senate passing a reconciliation bill allowing for Democrats to pass a more extensive passage by bypassing the filibuster in the upper chamber."

The Queen Bee has spoken.

ITEM 12: Deutsche Welle reported, "US troops and forces fighting against the self-styled Islamic State were targeted with rocket and drone attacks in Iraq and Syria on Wednesday.

"Fourteen rockets were fired at a US air base in Iraq’s western province of Anbar, leaving two military personnel with minor injuries.

"Iraqi security forces said the rocket launcher was hidden inside a truck carrying bags of flour.

"Previous attacks on US military and diplomatic targets have been blamed on pro-Iran militias."

So let us recap.

Milley stepped on his privates when he went SJW in a House hearing.

To change the subject, he had the Air Force blow up some warehouses in the desert.

Milley has our forces in disarray. The enemy sees this. The enemy attacks.

ITEM 13: Reuters reported, "The Biden administration is considering offering an expedited visa path for vulnerable Afghans including women politicians, journalists, and activists who may become targets of the Taliban, U.S. officials say.

"Rights groups have been asking the State Department and White House to add up to 2,000 visas specifically for vulnerable women and women’s advocates to a developing policy plan to evacuate thousands Afghans after the U.S. military pullout this month. The current plan includes translators who worked with foreign forces.

"One of the officials said the administration is looking not only at women who are under threat, but also men and minorities in high-risk professions."

We went in and tried to Americanize Afghanistan.

That was arrogant.

The least we can do is protect those who sided with us.

ITEM 14: The NHL season finally ended with Tampa Bay defeating Montreal to win a second consecutive Stanley Cup.

It is July.

The NBA season continues with the Milwaukee Bucks making the finals for the first time without Lew Alcindor. (I use his birth name only to illustrate how long ago it was.)

Did I mention it is July?

ITEM 15: Breitbart reported, "Border Patrol agents and Coast Guard crews rescued migrants across the Rio Grande Valley Sector after human smugglers put them in jeopardy. In multiple incidents, smugglers moved women, children, and even infants into the river that separates Texas and Mexico. One woman was saved after an alleged sexual assault attempt.

"McAllen Station Border Patrol agents encountered a female migrant on Monday evening who ran toward them. The woman told the agents she had just escaped from an attacker, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

"The woman, a Honduran national, had just illegally crossed the border with her husband and a young child, she told the agents. She said the smuggler separated her from her family and told them to hide in a different area. After moving away with the woman, the smuggler forced her to the ground and tore her shirt and pants, officials reported. She began to fight back and eventually escaped and fled to the agents. The agents contacted local law enforcement officials to launch an investigation."

The blood is on Biden's hands.

President Trump settled the border down. Biden rejected Trump's policies and chaos ensued. The only winners are drug lords, pedophiles, and the Chamber of Commerce. There may be some overlap among those three groups.

ITEM 16: CNBC reported, "Six vaccinated countries have high Covid infection rates. Five of them rely on Chinese vaccines."

Shocking, isn't it?

ITEM 17: Bloomberg reported, "BMW AG’s U.S. sales blew past rivals’ in the second quarter as the luxury carmaker did a better job of stocking dealerships with new vehicles in spite of a global semiconductor shortage.

"The German luxury brand sold 96,561 vehicles from April through June, almost double its deliveries a year ago and 35% more than in the first quarter of 2021. It outsold competitor Mercedes-Benz by 14,171 units in the second quarter, and took the lead in U.S. luxury sales year-to-date, edging out Daimler AG’s luxury brand by 7,348 vehicles."

Red China has the world's auto industry by the short hairs over computer chips.

I reiterate, Ford, GM and all the rest should start their own chip companies and not rely on Red China or its operatives in other countries for a damned thing.

FINALLY, Virginia tore down its statue of longtime Democrat Senator and segregationist Harry F. Byrd.

It is well past time for West Virginia to remove its statue of longtime Democrat Senator and segregationist Bobby Byrd.
