This should be the national anthem. No song better catches the American dream.
OK, my American dream when I was 15.
ITEM 1: The Chicago Sun-Times reported, "Chicago’s most violent weekend of 2021: 92 shot, 16 killed, 6 kids among the wounded."
Beats last year's Independence Day weekend record of 79 shot and 15 killed.
The mayor blames racism. I agree. Most homicides (5 out of 6) go unsolved because the victim is black. This leads to more shootings, murder, and mayhem.
ITEM 2: The Daily Caller reported, "Two are dead and another injured after around 100 shots were fired into a crowd in Philadelphia on the Fourth of July.
"The shooting occurred just after 10:30 p.m. in front of the Premiere Bande store on 60th Street, where people had gathered for a cookout hosted by the owner of the fashion brand, according to NBC 10 Philadelphia. Investigators claimed that 90 to 100 shots may have been fired by one or more gunmen into the crowd, killing two young men and injuring a 16-year-old girl, NBC 10 reported."
It was a mostly peaceful rain of bullets on a barbecue.
Those were homicide No. 280 and 281 for Philadelphia, which is 37% ahead of 2020's pace. But the city of brotherly love is still well behind Chicago, which had homicide No. 354 this weekend.
ITEM 3: Yahoo reported, "TC Energy, the Canadian pipeline operator that was building the Keystone XL project, has filed a notice of intent to initiate a claim against the Biden administration for the suspension of the project, seeking $15 billion in damages.
"According to the notice, the U.S. administration violated the North American Free Trade Agreement with its decision to kill the $9 billion project that would have carried 830,000 barrels per day of Canadian crude to the United States. The company had to officially drop Keystone XL after President Biden revoked a crucial permit.
"Proponents of the Keystone XL project have argued that scrapping the pipeline would not diminish the demand for the heavy crude oil that the pipeline would have carried to U.S. refineries. Instead, it would merely raise the United States’ dependence on crude oil from OPEC countries. An argument has been made that it would also kill jobs on both sides of the border."
Make Obama and Biden pay out of their ill-gotten gains and bribes.
The ban was not to protect the environment. The ban was to protect Warren Buffett's near-monopoly on transporting the oil.
Democrat billionaires make money on Democrat presidents. The rest of us lose.
ITEM 4: The Dallas Morning News barfed, "Gov. Greg Abbott, after trailing potential challenger Matthew McConaughey in the spring, has rebounded and now has a slight — but not statistically significant — lead over the movie star in a hypothetical matchup in next year’s race for governor, according to a poll released Sunday by the Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler.
"Abbott, a two-term Republican, is favored by 39% of Texans of all political stripes, while McConaughey, who hasn’t picked a political party or even committed to running, draws backing from 38%. Nearly a quarter of Texans said they’d vote for someone else."
Political polls now reflect the outcome desired by the Corporate Media sponsor.
Abortion Barbie supposedly was down by only 9 a month before her 2014 race against Abbott.
He won by 21. She failed to get the 40% that poll said she had.
ITEM 5: Fox News reported, "House Majority Whip Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., has expressed strong opposition to voter identification requirements in the past, but now that Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., is pushing for it in an effort to reach a voting reform compromise, he claims he has always been a fan."
Just 3 months ago, Clyburn called Georgia's election reform, which includes photo ID, a Jim Crow law.
Now he suddenly has always been for it.
Stacey Abrams also converted.
Conservatives are winning on this issue.
ITEM 6: Monica Showalter wrote, "Leftists blame capitalism, and global warming for Mexican state oil company's Gulf fire."
Chernobyl also was government run.
ITEM 7: Roger Friedman wrote, "Over the weekend, Queen’s Greatest Hits went to number 1 on iTunes. Joni Mitchell’s Blue is number 2.
"They are from 1981 and 1971, respectively. I was 16 in 1973, I’m trying to imagine music from 1923 and 1933 suddenly being popular. And I can’t. ABBA, Journey, and Fleetwood Mac are also in the top 50. But HER Music’s first album, released last week, is a dud. And it shouldn’t be. Go figure.
"PS Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Greatest Hits is number 14. It’s been in the top 10 for weeks. So have four of their singles. Maybe we’re in a time warp!"
Every Joni Mitchell song is about her love life.
Every one.
And every one is as beautiful as she is.
ITEM 8: LifeSite News reported, "Pope Francis personally invited a transgender group to receive COVID jabs over Easter, senior Vatican cardinal confirms.
"When questioned, Pope Francis reportedly exclaimed 'Absolutely vaccinate them!' Pope Francis further added that when the injections were being administered, Vatican officials were not to ask the transgender individuals about their sex."
Sure he didn't.
I liked it better when "is the pope Catholic?" meant yes.
ITEM 9: Zero Hedge reported, "One month ago when observing the reversal of China's all-important credit impulse to negative, its first red print in over a year, we warned that China was set to unleash a deflationary wave across the world -- but first it would be China's own economy that is impacted.
"And sure enough, the country which first emerged from the covid pandemic it created courtesy of a tidal wave of new debt creation which saw a blowout in new Total Social Financing flows is on the verge of contraction again, because overnight, the Caixin China General Services Business Activity Index (headline services PMI) fell sharply to 50.3 in June from 55.1 in May, badly missing the 54.9 Bloomberg consensus, and the largest one-month drop outside of the catastrophic February 2020."
Predictions of Red China's imminent collapse are many and frequent.
But communism lasted 74 years in Russia and is in its 72nd year in Red China.
Hope springs eternal.
ITEM 10: Fox reported, "Starting this fall, Yale University will be offering a course comparing prison systems in the United States, the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, and Communist China in the 20th century.
"Led by professor of history Timothy Snyder and professor of philosophy Jason Stanley, Mass Incarceration in the Soviet Union and the United States, sets out to investigate the role that mass incarceration played in both superpowers during the latter half of the 20th century."
The difference was the Soviets sent dissidents to prison. The USA did not.
At least until January 6, 2021.
ITEM 11: National File reported, "A pair of Brooklyn-based far-left attorneys who firebombed the NYPD during last year’s deadly Black Lives Matter riots can still practice law in the State of New York, while former New York City Mayor and Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani cannot, with his law license suspended for the crime of questioning the 2020 Presidential Election. Colinford Mattis, who works as a corporate lawyer, and his co-conspirator Urooj Rahman, a so-called human rights attorney, both face federal charges related to the firebombing of an NYPD police cruiser and could face sentences of at least 45 years in prison.
"Despite the extremely violent nature of the attack in which Rahman reportedly tossed a Molotov cocktail into the console of a police cruiser before hopping into a getaway car driven by Mattis, and the fact that the pair of left-wing attorneys were found to be producing and distributing Molotov cocktails to Black Lives Matter and Antifa-aligned radicals, federal prosecutors have been working hard to hammer out a plea deal for the pair of violent offenders.
"According to the New York Post, both parties remain locked in negotiations with federal prosecutors and a federal judge has granted the pair a number of opportunities to work something out with the prosecution before having to face trial like a mere ordinary citizen. Both Mattis and Rahman remain out of jail, standing in stark contrast to the treatment received by January 6th Capitol Hill demonstrators who have reported facing Gulag-style conditions and severe physical abuse while awaiting trial in a Washington, D.C. jail on nonviolent charges."
Rudy shut down the Mafia as a prosecutor and brought crime down to its lowest in decades as mayor.
Liberals will never forgive him for that.
ITEM 12: JNS reported, "America’s largest teachers union to vote on boycott of Israel, Palestinian statehood. The multi-day conference that began Wednesday will consider calling on the United States to cut material support and funding to Israel and promote Palestinian causes.
"The multi-day conference that began Wednesday will consider calling on the United States to cut material support and funding to Israel and promote Palestinian causes through a range of programs at a total cost of $71,500, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
"Among the over 30 proposals that will be debated during the conference, is an item to publicize the union’s support for the Palestinian Authority."
The ABCs of American education now are Antisemitism, Bigotry, and Communism.
ITEM 13: Last week, to change subjects from Milley's White Rage against white people, the Pentagon bombed warehouses in the desert.
The retaliation is real, even if the threat was not.
Zero Hedge reported, "A fresh rocket attack was unleased Monday on the largest military base where US troops are hosted in Iraq. Ain Al Assad airbase in western Iraq's Anbar province was hit by at least three rockets, the American coalition has confirmed."
The Pentagon is run by people who want perpetual wars to keep the money rolling. Milley makes $160,000 a year and will be even richer in retirement.
ITEM 14: Reuters reported, "Hackers suspected to be behind a mass extortion attack that affected hundreds of companies worldwide late on Sunday demanded $70 million to restore the data they are holding ransom, according to a posting on a dark web site. The demand was posted on a blog typically used by the REvil cybercrime gang, a Russia-linked group that is counted among the cybercriminal world's most prolific extortionists. "
The old rule was never pay the ransom.
Biden did.
Now America reaps that whirlwind.
ITEM 15: We Love Trump reported, "Tajikistan Emerges as First Country in the World to Make Covid Vaccines Mandatory."
Biden is considering doing that in the United States.
In a year's time we have gone from Make America Great Again to Make America Tajikistan.
ITEM 16: Communist haters turn their back on America.
Strip them of the name United States because they do not represent us. They represent Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and every other enemy of the USA.Every woman on the Mexican Soccer Team faced the flag & sang the Mexican National anthem.
— Richard Grenell (@RichardGrenell) July 5, 2021
Several woman on the U.S. Soccer team turned away from the US flag - while a 92 year old Veteran played the anthem on a harmonica.
Why didn’t @USWNT show the women turning away? https://t.co/8OCa7eToZD
In fact, if they leave the country, do not let these traitors back in.
That's the thing about free speech. It means you own what you say.
FINALLY, Nobel economist and former Enron adviser Paul Krugman of the New York Times wrote, "It’s Morning in Joe Biden’s America."
Indeed.
