Highlights of the News

Hello friends wordentertainmen, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Highlights of the News, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about Highlights of the News, which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.
ITEM 1: CNBC reported, "The Social Security cost-of-living adjustment for 2022 could be 6.1% due to inflation, according to a new estimate.

"That would be the biggest increase since 1983, according to non-partisan advocacy group The Senior Citizens League, which calculated the figure. It’s also a bump up from last month’s estimate, when the increase for next year was expected to be 5.3%."

Inflation is part of a two-step plan to deplete the Social Security Trust Fund.

High unemployment reduces revenues collected from the FICA tax. The COLA increases the spending of those reserves. Once the reserves disappear, Social Security recipients will be at the mercy of Congress.

ITEM 2: Paul Mirengoff wrote, "The Washington Post features a hit piece on Tucker Carlson. The attack begins on the front page and continues for three additional pages, all three of which are devoted exclusively to the piece.

"The opening salvo reveals that Carlson did not cry when, in 2003, he visited a dungeon in Ghana where Blacks were held many centuries ago before being shipped to America for enslavement. That Carlson went on this trip at all, accompanied by the likes of Al Sharpton, with whom the Post says he developed a friendly relationship, shows that he is sensitive to the shameful history slavery and sympathetic towards blacks.

"That Carlson didn’t cry shows nothing. I didn’t cry when I visited Auschwitz.

"That Carlson later said he didn’t feel guilt over what happened in Ghana centuries ago shows that he’s rational. Why should he have felt guilt?

"The Post’s hit piece doesn’t get any more persuasive as it rambles on. The paper accuses Carlson of 'time and again. . .look[ing] at an issue. . .through a racial lens.' This is rich. The whole point of Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter is to view issues through a racial lens."

The Front Page AND three additional pages? That is a lot of real estate to devote to him. He must be very, very, very important.

After all, Obama had the NSA tail him.

I notice, the deep state no longer feels the need to be covert about spying on Americans.

ITEM 3: Neal Boortz spotted this and posted it on Twitter.

NYT is most correct. Freedom is an anti-government slogan.

Let the anti-government slogan ring.

ITEM 4: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, "A duplicate write-in vote for singer Kanye West was a big clue that some absentee ballots had been counted twice in Fulton County.

"Digital ballot images made public under Georgia’s new voting law show nearly 200 ballots — including one for West — that election officials initially scanned two times last fall before a recount. There’s no indication any vote for president was counted more than once in official results.

"The discovery of identical ballots provides evidence to back up allegations of problems in the presidential election, but on a relatively small scale that had no bearing on the final certified count. A group of voters seeking to prove the election was fraudulent say double-counting is just the beginning of what they hope to find."

How does the AJC know that the errors were "on a relatively small scale" and how do they know which way the errors went?

20 years ago, the media hunted for months for hanging chads even after the election results were final and George Bush was sworn into office.

Now there is a curious incuriosity.

ITEM 5: The Daily Mail reported, "Former staffers of Vice President Kamala Harris have described a toxic environment in her offices dating back more than a decade, just days after her employees claimed they are 'treated like sh**t'.

"Reports of an 'abusive' workplace atmosphere in the Vice President's office, published by Politico, have resonated with staffers who worked for Harris while she held senior positions such as US senator.

"'So many people recognized themselves in it, or recognized treatment they had seen or treatment they had heard about and dismissed,' one former staffer told Business Insider.

"They added that they had sent a link to the report to their therapist with a message that read: 'Rarely in life are we publicly vindicated.'"

It is open season on the veep in the press.

Maybe Michelle wants the job after all.

ITEM 6: A senator who is a friend in need.

Wow. What a guy.

Rubio has the best constituent services office. Capito and Manchin should take note.

ITEM 7: The New York Post reported, "The innocent bystander who was shot Tuesday night after being caught in the crossfire in East Harlem is an Army veteran who was shielding children on the sidewalk with a pal when he was struck.

"Wilbert Grier, 59, was hit once in the upper torso amid the gunfire that erupted during a feud between two groups of young men near a deli on Fifth Avenue and East 118th Street.

"Speaking from his apartment on Wednesday night, Grier said 'the adrenaline kicked in' — and his first instinct was to protect the youngsters playing outside when the bullets started flying."

He's a hero.

Can we stretch the rules and give him a Purple Heart?

ITEM 8: The Daily Wire reported, "Florida residents are using their own boats to attempt food and supply runs to aid pro-democracy protesters in Cuba.

"A large group of boaters left Monday for the island packed with food, water, and medicine, according to a CBS affiliate in Miami.

"'We are just bringing supplies. They are trying to create a group to take on water, food, medicine, whatever we can to take a Cuba,' Dennis Suayero told the outlet. 'We are just waiting for the approval so we can enter and give it to them.'

"Boaters are attempting the trip despite a warning from the U.S. Coast Guard not to attempt unsanctioned trips to Cuba."

Coast Guard warning?

So they are defying TWO socialist governments.

Now that's what I call being an American.

ITEM 9Tucker Carlson said, "The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff should be fired. Mark Milley has repeatedly tried to subvert civilian control of the US military. Why is he still in control?"

His wife may want to double his life insurance.

Oh, and Carlson is absolutely correct.

ITEM 10: CNN reported, "Unvaccinated residents in parts of China will be banned from accessing public services including hospitals, schools and nursing homes, as the country targets an inoculation rate of at least 80% against Covid-19.

"Over the past week, dozens of county-level governments in at least eight provinces have published notices warning citizens they have until late July or early August to be fully vaccinated with two doses."

Coming soon to America

ITEM 11: Townhall reported, "Disney World has canceled Christmas.

"Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, an extremely popular yuletide tradition, is going to be rebranded. Instead, the Magic Kingdom will host a night time show.

"The new 'don't call it Christmas' event is called 'Disney Very Merriest After Hours' - a generic, holiday-themed celebration.

"Whoever came up with that idea deserves a lump of coal in their Christmas stocking.

"Disney did not provide an explanation for the change -- but in recent days the woke imagineers at the Magic Kingdom have made national headlines by culturally cleansing many popular rides."

In the future, there will be only two holidays sanctioned by Corporate America: Juneteenth and George Floyd's birthday.

ITEM 12: PJ Media reported, "In remarks reported in a forthcoming book, Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, compared President Donald Trump to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and his supporters to Nazi brownshirts. Milley said he feared a military coup from Trump, who had decided to contest the results of the 2020 election. Trump responded to the accusation in a blistering statement on Thursday.

"'Despite massive Voter Fraud and Irregularities during the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, that we are now seeing play out in very big and important States, I never threatened, or spoke about, to anyone, a coup of our Government. So ridiculous!' the former president wrote.

"Trump insisted that the only way he would want to gain or hold on to power would be through an election."

He should have canned Milley last summer for publicly bad-mouthing the commander-in-chief.

ITEM 13: Fox reported, "Los Angeles County is re-implementing a mandate requiring residents to wear masks while indoors, regardless of vaccination status as the county continues to see an increase in COVID-19 transmission, county health officials said Thursday."

This cuts off any incentive to get vaccinated.

I believe that is the real aim: to keep people unvaccinated because as long as the virus is out there, Democrats and RINOs can enact their inane mandates.

ITEM 14: The 40th commissioner of NYPD has no use for cowards.

None.

ITEM 15: Jacob Palmieri reported, "The Arizona audit hearing exposed a ton of huge new details. One of which came from Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan.

"According to Logan, thousands of names were added to the voter rolls after election day. Those same people were recorded as casting a ballot."

They stole it.

And they are not giving it back.
