The government reported unemployment rose to 5.9% in May, which pushed the Misery Index to 10.79 thanks to rising inflation and stagnant unemployment. Bidenomics is the culprit. With an unprecedented humanitarian crisis at our border, soaring gas prices, and more out of control spending that will cripple our future generations, the Biden Administration is bragging about saving us $0.04 on sliced cheese. https://t.co/L0cxWeHxlC

Under President Donald John Trump, unemployment was low and inflation even lower. On February 29, 2020, the Misery Index stood at 5.83. Then covid hit and people lost their jobs. We went from 3.5% unemployment to 14.7% in just two months. That was unprecedented. The Misery Index hit 15.13.
But Donald Trump was a capitalist and not a Senate lifer like Biden. President Trump fixed unemployment, bringing it down faster than any president before him. He left his successor a Misery Index of 7.7.
Biden took that recovery and turned it into stagflation.
But Josef Biden claims inflation is a thing of the past.
The New York Post reported, "The White House social media team set off some fireworks it didn’t want Thursday when it attempted to counter inflation fears by claiming Americans will enjoy cheaper Independence Day parties this year.
"'Planning a cookout this year?' the groan-worthy tweet began. 'Ketchup on the news. According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d). Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish.'
"The tweet was accompanied by a GIF laying out the price change for select food items. Among them: the cost of two pounds of ground beef is down 8% on last year, the price of a pound of sliced cheese and a 13-ounce bag of potato chips are both down 1%, and the cost of a half-gallon of vanilla ice cream is down 5% from 2020.
"The savings for the whole meal: 16 cents."
The puns don't bother me.
The lies do.
I do not know where these A-holes buy their groceries, but it certainly isn't at Poca Food Fair. I know. I do the shopping.
Corporate media cheered today's employment report. Fox reported, "US economy adds 850,000 jobs in June as unemployment rate ticks higher."
The problem is 9 million job openings go unfilled because Biden continues to subsidize unemployment by giving those collecting unemployment a bonus.
The bonus was necessary a year ago when there were no jobs. But today the bonus encourages unemployment, stunts economic growth, and fuels inflation.
This is a trifecta of misery for Chairman Xi who sits halfway across the world gloating at our pandemic panic and attempted economic suicide.
Biden's economic catastrophe is not his only disaster. Along with stagflation, the 1970s brought a rise in crime.
The New York Post reported, "Americans are giving President Biden dismal ratings on his handling of rising crime, a new poll found.
"The ABC News/Washington Post poll released Friday morning revealed that just 38 percent of Americans approve of the 46th commander-in-chief’s response to recent crime spikes nationwide.
"On the other side, 48 percent said they disapproved."
While conservatives mock this as Welcome Back Carter and That '70s Show, the reality is it took two decades to recover from Carternomics and the high crime that came with it. Many a retiree suffered, and many a black teenager died due to Carter's bungling.
