Highlights of the News

Hello friends wordentertainmen, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Highlights of the News, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about Highlights of the News, which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.
Hipsters try to do The Dap. Now you know why Chairman Xi is always smiling.

ITEM 1: Zero Hedge reported, "The Hangover Arrives: Explosive Inflation Leads To Record Collapse In Home, Car Purchase Plans."

Looks like I will be driving the 'Stang a little longer. 114k miles. Say what you want about American cars, but they last pretty long now.

Demand goes up, prices go up, and we have inflation.

Prices go up, demand falls, and we have a recession.

ITEM 2: The Epoch Times reported, "Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) told Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on June 10 that hundreds of military whistleblowers have reported being forced to receive anti-American indoctrination training, including critical race theory.

"In a Senate hearing with Austin, Cotton claimed that within the military, there’s 'plummeting morale, growing mistrust between races and sexes where none existed just six months ago and unexpected retirements and separations based on these trainings alone.'

"One whistleblower, Cotton alleged, said that military history training was replaced with training about police brutality, systemic racism, and white privilege. Another said that his unit had to read White Fragility by feminist author and critical theory proponent Robin DiAngelo, according to the senator.

"In May, the Space Force confirmed it relieved Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, a former instructor and fighter pilot, as commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron. While it didn’t specifically name the reason why Lohmeier was terminated, the Space Force cited comments made by Lohmeier during a podcast in which he denounced CRT and warned about the spread of Marxism within the Space Force’s ranks."

Our generals want to turn our military into a cutting edge, high-tech fighting machine staffed with people who don't know their gender, their nation, or their jobs.

ITEM 3: The Washington Free Beacon reported, "Emails from Hunter Biden's laptop show he was instrumental in setting up a consulting deal between a Ukrainian energy company and two Democratic consultants under investigation for violating foreign lobbying laws.

"Biden and colleagues at the private equity firm Rosemont Seneca helped Burisma Holdings hire Blue Star Strategies, a firm owned by former Clinton administration officials Sally Painter and Karen Tramontano. Biden's emails show he played a bigger role than anyone had known in arranging Blue Star's consulting work for Burisma. Neither Biden nor the Blue Star founders registered their work under the Lobbying Disclosure Act or the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

"Biden's work as a middleman could also explain why federal prosecutors began scrutinizing Blue Star's work for Burisma. Republicans have scrutinized Biden over his work for the company, one of Ukraine's largest natural gas producers, as well as with various Chinese companies. Federal prosecutors are also investigating Biden over his tax affairs and foreign business dealings.

"Politico reported that federal prosecutors in Delaware investigating Biden's taxes began probing whether Blue Star violated foreign agent laws by failing to disclose its work for Burisma. Both Biden and the Blue Star executives met with U.S. government officials to advocate on Burisma's behalf, according to congressional testimony. Biden also met with Painter in November 2015 to discuss her potential work for Burisma.

"Burisma appointed Biden and his partner, Devon Archer, to serve on its board of directors in May 2014. As board members, the pair was tasked with finding investment projects for Burisma in the United States and Europe and boosting the company's reputation. Biden and Archer received more than $80,000 a month to serve on the board.

"Burisma hired Blue Star in late 2015 to try to kill bribery investigations into Burisma's owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, a former minister of ecology and natural resources. Zlochevsky was under investigation in the United Kingdom for allegedly paying bribes to secure drilling contracts in Ukraine."

Hunter's corruption would make a Cook County politician blush.

He will get away with it. After all, Hillary did.

ITEM 4The New York Post reported, "California gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner says she wants to put nearly $1 trillion in high-speed rail funds approved by President Biden toward completing former President Donald Trump’s efforts to finish the US-Mexico border wall."

Jenner said, "We’re spending billions on a high-speed train to nowhere, okay? Take some of that money, go down to the border wall and completely finish on state land, completely finish the wall. We need protection."

Democrats learned from the last recall, and Jenner does not have a chance in heaven or hell to become governor.

But that is an excellent idea.

ITEM 5: The New York Times sent a reporter to West Virginia to pen, "What Drives Joe Manchin? Frustrated Democrats Can Look to West Virginia."

Duh.

Senators represent their states, not the media outlets and other lobbyists.

Give Joe Manchin and his Republican colleague, Shelley Moore Capito, credit. They are as West Virginian as ramps in spring. They are in touch with West Virginians and represent our interests well.

But I caution readers regarding the veracity of this report. The NYT sent Jayson Blair to West Virginia to do a story on Jessica Lynch 18 years ago. He never left the bar in Brooklyn.

ITEM 6: Al Jazeera reported, "McDonald’s latest company to suffer data breach."

The story said, "McDonald’s has become the latest company to be hit by a data breach after unauthorized activity on its network exposed the personal data of some customers in South Korea and Taiwan.

"McDonald’s Corp said Friday that it quickly identified and contained the incident and that a thorough investigation was done."

Now Chairman Xi knows who wanted fries with that, and who didn't.

ITEM 7: The New York Post reported, "Hair-raising photos show a boat perilously close to plunging over the edge of a Texas dam — because the passengers were too busy gossiping, police and rescue officials said.

"The electric boat, which was carrying four women, was saved from the edge of Longhorn Dam in east Austin on Thursday after it got swept up in a strong current at Lady Bird Lake, a reservoir along the Colorado River."

This would never happen to the Hee Haw Honeys because they did not repeat gossip. "So you'd better be sure and listen close the first time."

ITEM 8: The New York Times, the Weekly World News of the left, claimed, "Germany on Friday moved to ensure that women are represented in the upper echelons of some of Europe’s largest publicly traded companies, advancing a measure in Parliament that sets a quota for women on management boards.

"Under the proposal approved by the Parliament, public companies in Germany with four or more board members will be required to have one female board member, and government-controlled firms with boards of three or more members will also be required to have one woman.

"The measure is expected to receive final passage by Germany’s upper house later this summer. Companies will face financial penalties for failing to meet the new law."

If true, dump all your holdings in German companies because they will focus on preferred pronouns and not quality.

ITEM 9: Fox reported, "A Black mother slammed critical race theory (CRT) on Thursday, telling the Florida Board of Education that it was teaching hate and ruining the "greatest country in the world."

"'Just coming off of May 31, marking the 100 years [since] the Tulsa riots, it is sad that we are even contemplating something like critical race theory, where children will be separated by their skin color and deemed permanently oppressors or oppressed in 2021,' said mom Keisha King.

"King's comments came after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis asked the school board to pass a rule banning CRT and associated ideas in schools.

"That is not teaching the truth,' King added, 'unless you believe that Whites are better than Blacks.'"

Ordinarily I lowercase black in news reports, but since white was capitalized as well, I did not bother changing it.

Race is overrated.

ITEM 10: The New York Times said, "Attorney General Merrick B. Garland laid out a detailed plan on Friday for protecting voting rights, announcing that the Justice Department would double enforcement staff on the issue, scrutinize new laws that seek to curb voter access and act if it sees a violation of federal law.

"Mr. Garland announced his plan as Republican-led state legislatures push to enact new restrictive voting laws, and amid dwindling chances for sweeping federal voter protection laws introduced by Democrats."

Unable to change the law, Democrats will ignore it and try to get the courts to overturn state laws.

I believe this NYT report because it is a Democrat news release.

ITEM 11: Yahoo reported, "House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she welcomed a clarification from Rep. Ilhan Omar over a tweet about Israel that critics on both sides of the aisle said had unfairly compared the U.S. and Israel to terrorist groups.

"In a written statement, Pelosi, D-Calif., said that 'drawing false equivalencies between democracies like the U.S. and Israel and groups that engage in terrorism like Hamas and the Taliban foments prejudice and undermines peace and security for all.

"'We welcome the clarification by Congresswoman Omar that there is no moral equivalency between the U.S. and Israel and Hamas and the Taliban.'"

Baloney.

Omar merely said what most Democrats believe. They believe Israel is evil because it is Jewish, and they believe America is evil because we had slaves more than 155 years ago. Never mind that Red China has slaves today as well.

I want Omar to keep speaking so Americans learn what Democrats really, truly believe.

ITEM 12: National Review reported, "Senator Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) said he would continue to support the Hyde amendment, in comments to Bloomberg Government on Thursday."

The amendment bans federally funded abortions.

The story said, "Because Manchin sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee, which is evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans, Manchin could require the Hyde amendment to be included in any spending bill to reach the Senate floor."

Manchin is rising to the occasion.

ITEM 13: Fox reported, "The distraught father of a Texas girl who was raped lashed out at a judge this week after a 22-year-old defendant who was convicted of the crime received a light sentence, according to a report."

The story said, "Polk County District Court Judge Travis Kitchens issued the sentence June 3 to defendant Eli Binnion, who authorities said committed the crime in July 2018, when he was 19 and the girl was 14, FOX 26 reported.

"Binnion received a sentence of 180 days in jail as part of his probation, meaning he could walk free as soon as 100 days from now, the station reported. Prosecutors wanted Binnion to spend 15 years behind bars, the report said.

"Polk County District Attorney Lee Hon made clear that the girl was not a willing participant in sex with the defendant, but instead was forcibly sexually assaulted."

The villain was sentenced to 180 days.

The victim was sentenced for life.

Appeal the sentence. A reversal is unlikely but justice demands an appeal.

ITEM 14: Hamas-Shielding AP reported, "The Associated Press’ recent firing of a young reporter for what she said on Twitter has somewhat unexpectedly turned company and industry attention to the flip side of social media engagement — the online abuse that many journalists face routinely.

"During internal meetings after the Arizona-based reporter, Emily Wilder, was let go, several journalists expressed concern over whether the AP would have the backs of employees under attack from the outside.

"'The Emily Wilder situation triggered this for many people on the staff,' Jenna Fryer, an AP sportswriter who spoke at one of the meetings, said in a subsequent interview."

Wilder is an anti-Semitic Jew who supports Hamas. AP threw her overboard after the world learned AP's office in Gaza City served as a human shield for Hamas.

The story said, "Journalists are often subjected to racist or sexist slurs, vile insults and threats of rape, dismemberment or other violence from online readers."

True. That happened to me back in the day. Liberals mocked my age, my manliness, and my race. "Hurry up and die" was a popular epithet.

If you cannot stand the heat, get the heck off line.

I suggest threats be reported to the FBI and insults be ignored.

ITEM 15: Breitbart reported, "CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden has come under attack from a cancel mob for its recurring segment Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts, which has made light of strange Asian delicacies, including bull penis, chicken feet, and 1,000-year-old eggs.

"A petition is demanding that the segment be pulled and that James Corden and the show issue an apology to Asian Americans. The petition, which does not appear to target a specific episode, claims without evidence that the segment 'encourages anti-Asian racism.'"

Light enforcement of violence in San Francisco, New York City, and other Democrat strongholds encourages anti-Asian violence.

Cancel their culture by voting Republican.

ITEM 16: The Federalist reported, "14-year-old Jolene Grover went to a school board meeting wearing a 'Woman is Female' t-shirt to call out her district for prioritizing 'boys’ wants over girls’ needs' in its new transgender policies. The eighth-grader joins teachers and parents in fighting Loudoun County, Virginia’s proposed policies that would allow students to use whichever locker room corresponds with their self-described gender identity rather than their biological sex.

"During her speech at a school board meeting, Grover argued the new policies are 'dangerous and rooted in sexism' and could lead to harassment or assault, exclaiming, 'You do this in the name of inclusivity while ignoring the girls who will pay the price.' She further noted the existing harassment and bad behavior by junior high boys, telling the board, 'Now, boys are reading erotica in the classroom next to girls, and you want to give them access to girls’ locker rooms.'

"'Two years ago, I was told policy 1040 was just an umbrella philosophy and you weren’t going to allow boys into the girls’ locker rooms,' Grover said of the proposed change. 'But here you are doing just that.'"

Bravo.

And she caught on. They told her boys would not be in their locker rooms, and now that is a "right."

UPDATE: A reader corrected me, "It would seem that since it was a girl talking about girl-boy issues it would be Brava in the feminine not Bravo masculine."

"Just a thought."

ITEM 17: The Daily Mail reported, "EXCLUSIVE: 'It's a problem here in Puerto Rico -- not with Washington.' AOC's aunt says Trump is NOT to blame for lack of aid to the struggling island after the congresswoman bashed the former president for damage to her grandmother's home."

AOC turned down $104,000 because conservatives volunteered the money, rather than being forced to fork it over in taxes.

ITEM 18: The Wall Street Journal reported, "The news about the U.S. Covid pandemic is even better than you’ve heard. Some 80% to 85% of American adults are immune to the virus: More than 64% have received at least one vaccine dose and, of those who haven’t, roughly half have natural immunity from prior infection. There’s ample scientific evidence that natural immunity is effective and durable, and public-health leaders should pay it heed."

They won't. They are medi-crats who relish the attention and power they now enjoy.

Remember their advice that everyone have safe sex to stop AIDS? Well, it didn't. 40 years after Tony Fauci went to Washington to end AIDS, it still kills 15,000 or so people every year.

ITEM 19: The MAGA Institute reported, "FINALLY! The lawsuit we’ve all been waiting for! An exhaustively researched, very tightly reasoned, and persuasively pled complaint condemning the Government’s COVID-19 response was filed today in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama to hold the minute martinet, Anthony Fauci and his co-conspirators at DHHS, CDC, NIH, and FDA accountable for their reign of terror over America.

"43 named and unnamed plaintiffs led by America’s Frontline Doctors have sued Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, both personally and in his official capacity, Director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Dr. Anthony Fauci, both personally and in his official capacity, Acting Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration Dr. Janet Woodcock, both personally and in her official capacity, DHHS itself, FDA itself, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Health, NIAID itself, and John and Jane Does I-V.

"The theory of the case is that the EUAs were 'the keys that unlocked the profit potential of the COVID-19 crisis,' enabling vaccine manufacturers to 'reap billions of dollars in profit by exploiting the fears of the American people.' The complaint further alleges that the vaccines 'have the potential to cause substantially greater harm than the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 disease' themselves."

Discovery will be awesome.

ITEM 20: Breitbart reported, "Photos show BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors built a wall around her $1.4 million home after resigning amid criticism of her lavish lifestyle.

"The Daily Mail first reported Cullors 'has been busy upgrading her ‘Marxist’ mansion in the rustic but ritzy Topanga Canyon area of Los Angeles County amid the fallout over her $3 million property portfolio.'

"A sub-contractor reportedly told the publication they were erecting a wooden structure “to surround the entire property and that the exterior improvements were in the ‘$35,000 range.'"

Black communists are the biggest anti-black racists on the planet. Jeremiah Wright spewed hate for 30 years, then retired to a nearly all-white gated community.

ITEM 21: Sister Toldjah reported, "Back in November, CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin was fired from his job as a staff writer for the New Yorker after being caught a few weeks earlier exposing himself during a Zoom conference call for the magazine where he was also seen, um, taking matters into his own hands if you catch my drift.

"CNN’s response to the controversy was not to suspend or fire Toobin, who has been with the network since 2002, but to grant him the “time off” that he reportedly requested.

"On Thursday, 8 months after the embarrassing incident, Toobin returned to CNN where he gave what was one of the most awkward, cringe-inducing interviews in human history."

Among those denouncing the fluff interview were Megyn Kelly and Clay Travis.

ITEM 22: The Epoch Times reported, "Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a major border security plan on Thursday that involves building its own barriers along the Mexico border and arresting illegal immigrants who enter the state."

That is money well spent.

ITEM 23: CNN reported, "Cape Cod diver left with a whale of a tale after a humpback spat him out."

How bad do you have to taste if a whale spits you out?

FINALLY, the world can do without: "Actress Emilia Clarke Creates Comic Superhero with Menstrual Powers: ‘She Can Swing Like Spider-Man from Her Armpit Hair.’"

And this silliness: "Must Read: Yoga Instructor and 'Body Activist' Jessamyn Stanley Says White Supremacy has Polluted Yoga."

(Eye-bleach warning on her photo.)

And this nonsense: "New Jersey school district removes names of all holidays from school calendar."

The woke crowd needs to decaffeinate.
