Went to see Calligraphy Exhibition
Late last month, my husband and I've been to the calligraphy exhibition of 'genyukai school' to our 'city cultural hall'  located right next to city music hall . Every time we went to see the exhibition I am amazed with their amazing ability.

My first time to see this style of writing "折帖"
"折帖. oricho" is Folding type book.  No idea how they can write with ink on book type.

Children's Day, 子供の日 kodomono-hi
Today, May 5th is Children's Day or Boy's Day celebration.  Koinobori, meaning "carp streamer"  are carp-shaped wind socks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no Sekku (端午の節句), a traditional calendrical event which is now designated a national holiday; Children's Day.
Two pictures below are from I found recently;  First one was from the private house near convenience store. Second one was from inside the big department store decorated among the stairwell.

Skylark in the Wheat Field
A couple days ago,  we were driving the Countryside away from our city for a chore. When we stopped along side of the road to rest, several Skylarks were in the wheat field having late lunch. Luckily, I could take some shots and video ;-)
